To help you get a sense of how technology affects our lives, and the people we become, take some time to play the game on the disk that came in your course packet. SocJourney1850 allows you to compare travel in the 1850s with travel today.

After you play the game, write a brief account of your adventure and post it on the Group discussion board in Blackboard by Wednesday, January 21.

We’ll use these descriptions as the basis for a class discussion.
