Thomomys bulbivorus (camas pocket gopher)

Diet	herbivore – tubers and roots
Habitat	Endemic to Willamette Valley, OR. Use range map to assist ID.
Description	Largest of genus. Back dark brown, ears and nose tipped blackish. Venter grey, with a white patch on throat. Winter pelage long and soft, summer pelage short and coarse.
Skull Characteristics	Large size, sphenoidal fissure present.
