Diet generalist
Habitat varies, urban, NON-NATIVE but widespread. Note: many mice in buildings are deer mice (Peromyscus maniculatus)
Description Body and tail not strongly bicolored (cp. deer mice). Dorsum generally light to dark brown, venter light to dark gray.
Skull Characteristics 1st upper molariform is large, ½ the length of the entire row. Incisor has small notch on back side. Cheekteeth have a middle row, contrasting with Peromyscus and other Cricetidae.
