| Skull Characteristics | Large, heavy skull. Prominently lobed incisors (as do other in genus Canis). Postorbital process strongly convex on dorsal surface. Width of canine >11 mm, broader rostrum relative to C. latrans. Palate ends ~even with posterior margin of last molar (cp. C. latrans). |
