Description Usually some dark spots and stripes. Short tufts of hair on ears. Tip of tail is black only on the dorsal surface, white underneath and longer than ½ the length of the hind foot. Bottom of paws not heavily furred.
Skull Characteristics Presphenoid is long and narrow, less than 4mm wide. Hypoglossal and jugular foramina are enclosed within one opening creating a triangular foramen. Lynx (cp. Puma): 28 total teeth; postorbital breadth larger than interorbital breadth.
