| Skull Characteristics | Long narrow rostrum, depression between orbits on top of skull. No upper canine (cp. elk). Lacrimal pit relatively shallow, vomer does fully divide to back of nasal cavity (cp. deer) |
| Notes | Moose are also found in northern Europe and northern Asia. In Europe they are not called moose, but elk.
