| Skull Characteristics | Dense, heavy skull. Condylobasal length > 121 mm. Sagittal crest extends 10 mm or more beyond the back of the skull. Mastoid process large, visible from dorsal view. Gulo, Martes: 38 teeth, 4 premolars; upper molar dumbbell shaped (constricted). |
