Welcome to HHS 241 Lifetime Fitness for Health lab. In the new millennium,
ones personal health is not taken for granted as much as it was 50 years
ago. We now know that lifetime health and quality of life greatly depends
on an individual's personal health and fitness behaviors. Research has
shown that though there may be genetic tendencies for certain health issues
(such as weight, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, and
more) that daily lifestyles habits, whether health or unhealthy, play
the biggest role in ones lifetime health. By providing this lab in conjunction
with other health courses, you should develop the skills that will equip
you to live a healthier life.
