This last group assignment offers you the opportunity to practice the
skills you need for your final paper.
Examine this advertisement for Lifebuoy soap. The ad describes a cultural
change. Discuss any or all of the following questions to demonstrate your
understanding of culture and cultural change?
- What part of culture changed?
- How did this change affect individuals?
- What are the causes of this cultural change?
- What might Ritzer say about this ad?
Because this is the last group discussion and I know everyone is busy
at the end of the term and next weekend is Memorial Day, I’m going to
push back the due date for posting to Tuesday, June 1. If more convenient,
you can post earlier but I hope you will take the extra time to really
explore this topic.
