| Skull Characteristics | Smaller than SCTO, usually <40 mm but >32 mm greatest length. Sublachrymal ridge indistinct, smaller than in SCTO. Unicuspids evenly spaced (cp. S. latimanus). 44 teeth (cp. Neurotrichus). |
