| Skull Characteristics | Smaller than SCTO, usually <40 mm but >33 mm greatest length. Sublachrymal ridge less useful as ID character, intermediate between SCTO and SCOR. Unicuspids U5 and U6 may be appressed (upper unicuspids not evenly spaced, see Verts and Carraway 1998). 44 teeth (cp. Neurotrichus). |
