Flexibility and Back Health |

The vast majority of us will experience back pain over the course of
our life, some more than others. Research has shown that 80% who suffer
from chronic back pain can find total or partial relieve by performing
stretching and strengthen exercises geared towards back health.
Below are pages in the Wellness text that you can review that offer flexibility
exercises, as well as stretches and exercises for a healthy back. If you
do not have the wellness text, flexibility and back exercises are provide
in the link below.
If you currently suffer from any back problems, please see your doctor
before performing any of the stretches or exercises.

Stretches and Exercises
- Home Exercises and Stretches contains descriptions, pictures, and
animations of the exercises. Link opens new browser window.
Instructions for delivering the assignment
- Save the following .rtf or .txt files to your local hard drive.
- Open the file, print out the flexibility and back health information.
- Try the various stretches and back health exercises so you can answer
questions for lab 7’s participation.
- Click on Blackboard's Assignment button and choose Lab 7: Flexibility
and Back Health.
